Rose is a PhD candidate in the Department of East Asian Studies, University of Toronto. Her research focuses on gender archaeology of Early China, women in antiquity, proto-historical material cultural networks, and applications of digital humanities methods in art historical analysis

Before taking on the academic life, Rose was trained as a visual artist. In her spare time, she likes to draw, crochet, read, visit museums, listen to classical music, and watch cat and dog videos.

Rose develops tech tools for her academic community. Current projects: EA Archaeo Translator - genAI-powered translation assistant focusing on East Asian Archaeology; Sinocite - genAI-powered citation assistant for Sinologists, particularly focusing on Classical Chinese historical texts.
